Guided tours - greater experiences and new knowledge
In the Land of Light you've plenty of opportunity to get a qualified answer to a lot of the things that you may have puzzled over. Knowledgeable guides and nature interpreters that have great experience in their field are ready to take you on tours and events that may be able to throw light on some of the mysteries of local history and nature.

Tours of the townTourist offices in the Land of the Light organise guided tours of the town, where dedicated local storytellers describe the town in question's exciting history and spice this account with personal experiences and anecdotes on a tour of the area on foot. During the summer season these town walks take place on specific days of the week. Outside this period the local tourist office will be happy to provide information about the possibilities of a guided tour.

On tour with a nature interpreter
You can also choose to go on a tour with the region's capable nature interpreters and share in their particular knowledge of the region's flora, fauna, geology or traces of the past. These guides, who work in the countryside every day and know the area in question like the back of their hand, can give you an insight into details of the natural habitat of which you may not be aware.
Depending on the season, tours are arranged aimed at spotting birds and toads, or finding mushrooms, berries or herbs for use in snaps, to name but a few of the tours you can take part in.

Get out your fishing net and magnifying glassThe countryside is a great place for children. Children also have a tremendous natural curiosity about what goes on in nature, and they absorb all the new impressions that are presented to them. Things are to be caught, gathered, smelled, looked at, poked around - and questions asked.
There are many events throughout the Land of Light that are specially designed for children in which guides or nature interpreters pass on new knowledge about nature, flora and fauna aimed at children; for example, what we can find in the sea and on the beach, about butterflies, insects and so on.
